Joshua's Pest Control
We’re proud to say Joshua’s Pest Control is locally owned and operated—a San Diego original. Started in 2006 by Jason and Kristen Walton, the company is named after the founders’ son. So, if you call and ask for Joshua, we won’t be able to accommodate you (yet). But the Waltons have 20 years of experience in the pest control industry, and they love finding ways to help their neighbors. On the weekends, you might catch them hanging out with their family at the beach or cheering on the Padres at Petco Park.
At Joshua’s Pest Control, we continually look for ways to give back to the San Diego community. We sponsor local kids’ soccer teams and events like The San Diego Race for Autism and The San Diego STEAM Maker Festival. And we continually support the San Diego Food Bank and SAY San Diego. You’ll find we plan a different service activity every month. We believe small things can make a big difference.
In the San Diego and Riverside Counties, whether you’re looking for pest control in Temecula or pest control in Chula Vista, you can turn to Joshua’s Pest Control as your residential or commercial pest control partner. Our San Diego pest control experts are dedicated to providing the best service in the pest industry.

The Autism Discovery Institute is a collaborative department within Rady Children’s Hospital, San Diego. We are made up of clinical psychologists, behavior analysts, behavior specialists, and preschool teachers, all formally trained to enhance the lives of children with autism spectrum disorder. Firm believers of inclusion and individualizing teaching techniques for every learner, our multidisciplinary focus is based on research and evidence-based practice. All individuals up to 18 years old can receive a diagnostic evaluation from a clinical psychologist and recommendations may include our clinic’s services: Project ImPACT, Parent-Child Developmental Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy or social skills groups.
Alexa’s PLAYC (Playful Learning Academy for Young Children) is an early education program offered through Rady Children’s Hospital’s Autism Discovery Institute in San Diego and Murrieta. Alexa’s PLAYC welcomes children ages 18 months to 5 years old. Our unique inclusion program is designed to integrate early education for typically developing children and children with autism spectrum disorder, providing young children with enriched learning experiences in the context of a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. The program works on social-communication skills in the most naturalistic setting so both typically developing children and children with autism spectrum disorder thrive in their environments. The program operates year round. Small class size and low child-to-teacher ratios ensure individual attention for all children. Miracle League of San Diego
Miracle League of San Diego is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that provides individuals with special needs the opportunity to play baseball in a safe, organized setting. Since its inception in 2006, Miracle League has been serving individuals ages 5+ throughout San Diego county.
Our league currently has approximately 270 players in it across two baseball fields. The original field is located in Del Mar/Solana Beach, and the newest field is located at Bell Middle School off the 54 freeway. While the minimum age to participate as a player is 5 years old, we do not have an age maximum as our goal is to make everyone feel included and have this special opportunity. We have a Spring and Fall season, and each player is matched up with a buddy for the entire season. This is a wonderful way for everyone to develop new friendships, create memories and laughs, as well as participate in a fun, exciting activity with others.
Our emphasis on the buddy program enables us to also serve our parents. We recognize their daily challenges, and strive to ensure that on every Saturday during the season, they will have an hour to relax, sit in the stands and enjoy the game with fellow parents and fans. Because of our buddy system and because we have multiple coaches on the field, parents can relax with confidence. We encourage parents to coach, but discourage them from being their child’s buddy so their child can experience a new friendship. Affordability is never a question. While we strive to keep our player registration fees low, we accept all scholarship requests.

UC San Diego Autism Center of Excellence (ACE)
The UCSD Autism Center of Excellence (ACE), Co-Directed by Drs. Eric Courchesne and Karen Pierce, is dedicated to the discovery of early behavioral and biological signatures of infants and toddlers at risk for autism. Working in collaboration with a network of over 200 pediatricians in San Diego who screen for ASD and other delays at well baby check-ups, developmental assessments are provided at our Center for free by Ph.D. level psychologists for infants and toddlers referred by their pediatrician. To date over 120,000 toddlers have been screened by pediatricians through our program Get SET Early. State of the art methodology including functional and structural brain imaging, eye gaze tracking, and functional genomics are leveraged to understand the early symptoms and biological course of autism.
Our goal is to help families by establishing reliable biomedical indicators that will translate into rapid identification and early, effective treatment for all infants and toddlers who need it. Contact us for more information about our program or how you can participate!
